How Meditation Changed My Life With One Thought

A couple of years ago, I found myself at a point in my life where I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I remember researching different careers and side jobs to find one that might interest me. While a few things piqued my interest, nothing resonated with me or felt possible in my current situation.
I had been meditating for a while at that point, and I remember hearing that you can ask questions before meditation, and when you enter a meditative state, you will receive guidance or insight. This can come in the form of thoughts, feelings, external events, or symbols.
So, I decided to give it a try! And…it worked! A thought came to my mind, and it was clear as day.
My thought was to write a blog and become a life coach. While this was something I never would have even considered on my own, I instantly felt so much joy.
I love helping others, and writing about and coaching others on what has helped me overcome my struggles, in hopes of assisting them to overcome the same struggles, really resonated with me. If I can get there, anyone can, I thought.
While at the time, this idea seemed ridiculous to anyone who knew me. But to me, it felt right.

I loved the idea, but I decided to pursue other things due to the challenges I faced in creating a blog. And I can now say with total certainty, if spirit tells you to do something, you listen.
I lost thousands of dollars and precious time, and got myself into quite a predicament. All because I didn’t listen to the guidance I was given, and instead I risked my financial well-being on something unpredictable.
I have learned since then, and while I should have listened to my spirit at the time, I have grown and gained more knowledge during that difficult time.
I am in a better position now to help others since that experience. I had to do a lot of work to get myself back into a strong mental state. With that said, everything happens for a reason, and I learned that the hard way.
Present day, I am finally taking guidance from spirit and writing my blog.
I will say, spirit was right. I am amazed at how much I enjoy working on my blog. It feels right, I get immersed in it for hours, and I can help others by sharing everything that has helped me along my journey.

Meditation has become a constant staple in my life. It has helped me immensely.
When I first started meditating, I thought it felt a bit silly. I also found it very difficult to sit still and not have a multitude of thoughts racing through my mind. However, I later learned that this is entirely normal. When it happens, the key is to refocus on your breathing.
